The reasons why are mostly irrelevant and not at all interesting I still have my copy of the game as well as the CD key, pirating games is almost impossible in my country without the help of an American friend and I'd rather keep this as legal as possible so here I am asking this question; is there any way for me to install Freelancer legally without being able to use the CD?
